Segment 5 of the Malé North Side Boduthakurufaanu Magu Road Project Phase 1 has reached an overall completion of 45%, marking steady progress in the infrastructure upgrade of Malé. Reclamation works have been completed, while installation of wastewater and water main pipelines is currently underway. Key components including curbstone installation, sidewalk construction, light post footings, settlement tanks, and cable trench works have reached 50% completion and are expected to be finalized within the coming week, alongside the start of stormwater catchpit and cable junction installations. Meanwhile, sheet piling across segments 2, 3, and 4 is progressing ahead of schedule, with 145 meters completed so far, reflecting continued momentum in the Maldives’ urban development efforts.
