Foreign Minister sends message for the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Foreign Trade, and the Federal Cultural Institutions of Belgium

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel has sent a congratulatory message to the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Foreign Trade, and the Federal Cultural Institutions of Belgium, Bernard Quintin.

Minister’s message reads as follows:"Warm congratulations to Your Excellency, as you take on your new role as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Foreign Trade and the Federal Cultural Institutions of the Kingdom of Belgium.

Ever since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1977, the Maldives and Belgium have continued to enjoy close and cordial relationship, underpinned by mutual respect, understanding and goodwill. We have continued to cooperate on a range of issues of mutual importance both in the bilateral and multilateral fora.

I remain committed to working closely with you in the efforts to further strengthen the mutual relations between the Maldives and Belgium and I am confident that our partnership will continue to blossom in the years ahead.
